Beckah + Steve | Appalachian Farm | Waynesville, NC
Okay, so this wedding is a special one, so get ready! My super awesome friend and stunning bride, Beckah, is absolutely amazing. She is an uber talented photographer (check her work out here) that I’ve had the pleasure of working with on a number of weddings in New York. This time, though, I got the be a part of HER big day and film her and Steve tying the knot at the Appalachian Farm in the beautiful countryside of Waynesville, NC! I am SO thankful they trusted me and allowed me to join their wedding adventure.
Beckah + Steve are from the New York area so having it in Waynesville, North Carolina made it a destination wedding for them. And oh did it fit them so well with both of them loving the outdoors. The countryside views with all the mountains, creeks and trees were just absolutely breathtaking. As soon as I arrived to Waynesville, I spent most of the day driving around the area with my camera getting some stunning footage. Needless to say my drone was very tired from all the aerial shots I got that weekend.
On their wedding day Beckah + Steve were so easygoing and full of joy. They were literally up for anything, including… taking a ride on my big green tractor (sorry for the bad country music joke). Steve thought it would be hilarious to get some portraits on a broken down tractor that was on the farm. Of course Beckah was game, even though she was in her stunning wedding dress. The weather was a bit of a scorcher for it being October in North Carolina, I felt like I was back in Texas, but it didn’t faze them or their guests!
There was so much from this wedding that I loved. They did such an amazing job at making the day their own. From the custom made jackets they shared their first dance in to the wedding rings from Beckah’s Grandmother and Great Grandmother. There were so many little details that had SO much meaning behind them. Beckah walked down the aisle to her favorite song which was performed by her friend Maria. Then they were married in front of a gorgeous mountainous backdrop by Beckah’s dear friend Nicki. And of course, I can’t leave out one of my very favorite parts of the wedding… when Steve ended his vows with lyrics to a song Beckah can’t stand (“this woman is my destiny”). It had everyone roaring in laughter. It’s just another reason I love who they are as a couple. I can seriously go on and on listing my favorite things about their wedding day!
Beckah + Steve, your day was perfectly unique to you and just the best celebration of your love. I am so so thankful for your friendship and having me be a part of your wedding journey. What an insanely perfect and special day. Congrats!
